This presentation was provided by pipikwan pêhtâkwan to discuss what they learned about mental health in the Edmonton community. In particular, they explored what mental health means to community members, what is working well, what needs to be prioritized, and what needs to transform.

The United Way of Alberta Capital Region and the Canadian Mental Health Association – Edmonton Region is co-leading the development of Edmonton’s Strategy for Community Mental Health, with support from the City of Edmonton and enabled by the Community Safety and Well-being Strategy.

pipikwan pêhtâkwan was contracted to support outreach and engagement that centres equity-deserving communities’ perspectives and expectations, alongside the broader public, to inform the development of a Strategy for Community Mental Health.
